Late Autumn in the Alps

Today I had one of the last glimpses of autumn in the italian Alps. Not the dramatic bursts of red of a japanese acer but still wonderful tints of yellow, ochre and browns scattered all over the mountains around Rovereto, my hometown. Today with my dad was a trip to a little village called Campo Silvano where a friend of his was taking us around to the place where a herd of about 40 deers can be seen and also fed thanks to the irresistible attraction of a bag of apples that they took no time to finish! The little village, reached by car in about an hour of winding roads up the valley of Vallarsa is also well worth a visit and sits in a plain surrounded by nice rocky peaks reaching over 2000 metres in height.
