Chikurin no Michi

This picture was taken on the western hills of Kyoto in a part of the town called Arashiyama. Leaving aside a few exceptions, my favourite places are on the outskirts of the city. Higashiyama to the east, Sagano to the North, and Arashiyama to the west. This road is found near Tenryu-ji monastery where a bamboo grove rises up the hill. Chikurin no Michi winds its way through it and is definetely a picturesque site, and one of the many Kyoto wonders not to be missed!
