Place du Tertre

On a day out in Paris I decided to walk around Montmartre. This area of Paris is really worth a visit. Despite being nested in the city it still retains a village like feel. To reach the top of the hill rather than going straight up the paths and steps at the foot of the hill I chose to follow the slower winding rue Lepic. This eventually leads to Place du Tertre for a century famous for all the artists that every day fill up every possible corner selling their paintings or like the man in the picture, doing portraits.
